1. Contract Agreement
These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of goods provided by Cheshire Reglaze. By placing an order and making full payment, a legally binding contract is formed between Cheshire Reglaze and the customer. This contract is subject to and governed by UK law.
2. Conditions of Sale
By submitting an order, you confirm that:
2.1 You are at least 16 years old.
2.2 You have a valid prescription issued by a qualified optician within the last two years and can provide a copy if requested.
2.3 You will provide accurate prescription details, including any additional notes, when required.
3. Pricing & Payment
3.1 The price payable for the goods is as stated at the time of the order, plus any applicable shipping and insurance costs.
3.2 Full payment, including any applicable shipping and insurance fees, must be received before the order is processed.
3.3 All stated prices include Value Added Tax (VAT).
4. Delivery & Ownership
4.1 Goods will be supplied as per the order, and ownership is transferred once full payment has been received.
4.2 Cheshire Reglaze offers a free postal service on orders over £50 for sending glasses; however, this is not tracked. A recorded delivery option is available for tracking purposes(fees apply)
4.3 Customers will receive an email notification when their order has been dispatched.
4.4 International shipping costs are not covered when sending or receiving glasses outside the UK.
5. Liability
5.1 Risk is transferred to the customer upon delivery.
5.2 Reglazing services provided by Cheshire Reglaze are carried out at the customer’s own risk. While our expert technicians handle frames with the utmost care, damage is rare but can occur. If this happens, the following options are available:
· Free repair of the frame (if possible).
· Purchase by the customer of an alternative frame at cost price sourced by Cheshire Reglaze (no profit is made).
· A full refund for the reglazing service and return of the frame.
If a newly purchased frame fails during the reglazing process, it may be eligible for return to the original supplier under the manufacturer’s guarantee. Cheshire Reglaze will assist in dealing with the supplier if needed.
5.3 Cheshire Reglaze is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damages beyond what is covered in the refund policy.
5.4 The company is not responsible for delays or defects caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as strikes, supply chain issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.
5.5 During reglazing, original or demo lenses may be damaged upon removal. While every effort is made to return them in their original condition, damaged lenses will be disposed of, and Cheshire Reglaze is not liable for this.
5.6 Frames with electrical components are not serviced. Any issues related to electronic functions should be addressed with the original supplier.
5.7 If you are having issues with your vision after receiving your order. We will work with you to quickly identify the problem. In most cases, there is a very simple explanation for why your vision is poor. We have a simple process we go through as follows:
If there is a suspicion that your prescription lenses are incorrect, it is imperative not to persist in wearing the glasses. You should contact us immediately so that we can investigate further. We will take proactive steps to ensure the accuracy of your prescription lenses. We will always do what is necessary to ensure your eyewear contributes to a more comfortable and effective visual experience, allowing you to navigate daily activities with confidence and clarity.
Once we receive the eyewear back we will test the lenses and notify you of our findings and agree on the solution.
6. General Terms
6.1 If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
6.2 Cheshire Reglaze reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.
7. VAT
All listed prices include VAT at the current applicable rate.
8. Returns & Refunds
8.1 Customers have 30 days to return items, with any issues or defects reported within 14 days.
8.2 Returned goods must be in their original condition. It is recommended to obtain proof of postage, as Cheshire Reglaze is not responsible for lost packages.
8.3 Items will be inspected upon return, and refunds or replacements will be processed accordingly. Refunds may be denied if the item has been damaged after delivery, misused, or affected by general wear and tear.
8.4 Proof of return is required for any refund or exchange.
8.5 Delivery charges are non-refundable for international orders and cases where an order cannot be completed due to missing prescription details or fitting information.
8.6 Customers outside the UK are responsible for return shipping costs.
8.7 These terms do not affect statutory rights regarding returns and refunds.
9. Promotions & Discounts
9.1 Promotions are only valid during the advertised period and cannot be applied retroactively.
9.2 Discount vouchers are single-use and apply to a single pair of glasses.
9.3 Discounts cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.
9.4 Discounts apply only to in-house lenses and do not include branded lenses, or repairs unless specified.
11. Storage Policy
11.1 If glasses remain unclaimed for six months without an order being placed, a tracked return shipping fee will be required for their return.
11.2 After six months of no contact, unclaimed frames may be recycled due to limited storage capacity. Efforts will be made to retain them as long as possible before disposal.
